I understand that this kit is for all-grain brewers and requires specialized equipment to brew. Instructions and BeerSmith files are available to help determine strike and sparge volumes and temperatures. It is up to the brewer to determine if this kit is appropriate for their equipment and techniques.

Tasting Notes: This is a perfect summer beer with its dry, crisp and bitter finish supported by notes of biscuit and crackers from the malt.

|Hallertau Mittelfruh||28g||Flameout (0 min)|
Yeast included with this kit: W-34/70
Notes: The original recipe calls for 0.5lb acidulated malt but I have removed that as it is only added to adjust mash pH and will be dependent on your water profile. It is more accurate to monitor your mash pH, know your waters profile and adjust accordingly with liquid lactic acid. Do not worry about this if you are not doing water adjustments.
A step mash or decoction mash profile is recommended for this beer to stay true to the authentic brewing methods however I have simplified the mash temp to a single infusion which most brewers use. A 90 boil is also recommended for this beer.
