Caliente hops have been around for almost a decade now, but has managed to stay under the radar despite being a solid and complex hop. Caliente can be a bit deceiving as well, because the raw cones and pellets don't fully display the flavors and aromas. In the final beverage though, Caliente is zesty with lime and lemon, but is well-rounded with pine and stone fruit. Some brewers describe a very distinct plum aroma.
