PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: I understand that this kit is for all-grain brewers and requires specialized equipment and knowledge to brew. East Coast Hoppers Kits include Instructions and BeerSmith files to help determine strike and sparge volumes and temperatures. Other kits may require brewing software or a knowlege of brewing calculations to determine water volumes and temperatures. It is up to the brewer to determine if this kit is appropriate for their equipment and techniques.
Brewery: Legend Brewing Company
Brewery website: https://lagunitas.com/
Author: Michael Bury
Source: BYO May-June 2018
Style: American Pale Ale
Tasting Notes: The name Ütebier mirrors the Norwegian Ütepils which loosely translates to “the first beverage you have outside on a sunny day.” Ütebier pours a deep orange color and the mouthfeel is very crisp. Honey malts evoke a delicate sweetness, which is balanced out by the subtle hop bite. Additional Amarillo hops are added towards the end of the boil to bring out a light, tropical aroma.
